The WNBA Chicago Sky team officially announced today that Heat star Dwyane Wade will become a major shareholder of the team.
“We’ve been talking about supporting the WNBA, and as far as I’m concerned, I don’t want to support it just by tweeting or showing up at games,” Wade said in an interview earlier. Take it to the next level.”
Later, Wade also officially announced the news on social media.
“From a historical standpoint, it’s an unbelievable feeling. It’s an amazing feeling to see it (the WNBA) take off and see the business that I’ve loved all my life take off. There’s a lot Amazing things are happening in the WNBA. Now it’s official! This is my tribute to my hometown team,” Wade wrote.
